[Bayushi Sasori]

She had finally practiced enough to be able to give this demonstration. The girl was confident enough to use the twin fans. It wasn't like what her mother had showed her but her off hand felt much better into the movement of things. Sasori smiled as she slowly followed the steps of the advanced fan kata. [Hantei Kinsen]

Kinsen arrives shortly after in her battle kimono. She carries a big golden fan with her. After paying respects to the dojo, she finds Sasori and bows, "I hope Lady Sun has brought warmth, Bayushi-san. Please, treat me well."

[Otomo Gusai]

Gusai has been apprised by staff of the event, and he makes his way thither, bowing in as he trails the Lady Hantei. The charm on his wakizashi glints as it swings.

He nods his head to Sasori, smiles. But for now, he says nothing.

She gave a smile and a nod to the Otomo. She was glad that the man was there to see her fan practice.

"Good morning, Otomo-san. How good to see you today. I hope Lady Sun brought her warmth." She bows to Gusai with a clear smile.

"Oh. I do." She gives a tiny wink to Sasori and giggles in return. "So. How does one use the fan differently from Lady Doji's main teachings?"

"Of course, Lady Hantei," he says. "Brighter in the wake of events."

[Hantei Kinsen]

"Hmmm." She hums, and looks to Sasori back to Gusai with this smirk on her face.

[Bayushi Sasori]

Sasori nodded and smiled. "Well Hantei sama... mother used to start by a smack on the head." She rubbed her head since remembering the pain. "but let start with that. A simple smack on the head."

[Hantei Kinsen]

"Un!" Kinsen lowers her head in a bow to have it smacked.

[Otomo Gusai]

Gusai does not.

He's here to observe.

[Bayushi Sasori]

Sasori saw that Gusai had his blade with him and smiled. "Lady Kinsen sama would you allow me to show you something." She looked at Gusai and motioned him to come. "Otomo sama would be so kind and allow me demonstrate Lady Hantei how to fend a sword with a fan."

[Otomo Gusai]

Gusai, attending closely since mentioned, bows.

"The wakizashi is a badge of office," he says. "I am not skilled in its use."

A knife appears in his hand, and he adds "I do have some skill with a shorter blade, however. Close quarters below decks and all."

[Hantei Kinsen]

"Eto..." Kinsen says, still bowed for the bop. "Should I stay here?"

[Bayushi Sasori]

"Lady Hantei sama you should follow my lead stay close but not that close, nya." She looked at Gusai. "The size of the blade doesn't matter just the wielder of such blade." Sasori giggled. "But it looks more impressive if one uses a larger blade because it is a comparable size to the defence the fan provides."

[Otomo Gusai]

Another knife appears in Gusai's other hand.

"Better?" he asks, and the brow over his remaining eye rises.

[Hantei Kinsen]

Kinsen does so as ordered, and chuckles at their puns, she herself very much favorable of using bare hands when confronting Hantei's Celestial No-Dachi.

[Bayushi Sasori]

She looked at the two knives and chuckled. "I can do the same." She showed him her second fan. "Nya..." She looked intense. She asked him to start his attack.

[Otomo Gusai]

Gusai shrugs and launches into motion, the knife in his right hand flashing forward in a blur. Something in him seems to balk at attacking Sasori, though; his aim is not true, and the both know it.

[Hantei Kinsen]

Kinsen watches the spar with interest, and an ever growing smirk.

[Bayushi Sasori]

The Bayushi was in her defensive position that was she was here to demonstrate even though she is not skilled the cat was faster than the Otomo. She used her fan to block the blow and switched to attack. She opened her off hand fan and the blocking fan smacked his wrist.
