"So can we." she smiled. "She is an artist, yes? We are a bit more practical in our craft, but I think an artist could be at home with us."

He nodded, "She's... Well she was quite the artist. There's beauty in function sometimes... and functional things can be made beautiful."

He let out a sigh, "I haven't seen her in years though... and still don't know where she may be."

He paused and looked over at Rei, "But I came back from beyond the world we know. Maybe she will too."

She nodded in agreement.

"Speaking of mysteries and women, I still haven't met the one you spoke of, Shosuro. She was there earlier, yes?"

He nodded, "She is your cousin. Daughter to Lord Bayushi."

"I feel bad that we didn't have her here when the rest of the cousins got together." Waved her hand, indicating the springs. "I'd definitely like to meet her."

[Kakita]

"She has a good soul..." He briefly glanced at the note-jotting juvenile.

"You should meet her when you have the chance. She has expertise that may come to be useful in the days ahead."

"I was thinking that." she nodded again. "Any knowledge we can gain about the enemy and how we might fight it will be invaluable. Uncle Bayushi's insights, as well."

[Kakita]

"Perhaps we can invite her to come visit us?" He suggested.

"Once it is safe to return home."

She nodded, then was quiet for a time, choosing not to pry further.

"I have been wondering, what role do you see yourself in within the Bat?"

He let out a relaxed breath, “That’s what I’m trying to start wrapping my head around. There aren’t many of us compared to some of the other clans… but we need to be able to pull our own weight in the conflict ahead…”

He paused, “I can teach those without the gift how to defend those of your house…”

"That would be very welcome." she nodded. "I'd like to offer you more, a full place among the Bat, as a leader of a family."
