The sad thing is the influence system probably would have worked if we were greedy/assholes. The players are the ones who decided 'avoid competing events' even though it only took five attendees, counting the host, to be worth influence. Mind you, I'm glad I didn't have to often decide between events but I suspect it was expected we would have more influence floating around than we did.

Except I think that flooding the game with Events would've backfired and people would've been fatigued on them much sooner, causing more Events to fail to meet the 5 person criteria.

That was at the same at the same time. So, having an event in the Garden and in the Dining Hall was cool. Two in the Garden was not.

I still agree getting more events happening at the same time would have made for event fatigue much earlier. And there was quite a bit of that, I think?

Btw - I had miscalculated, "Rockstar" ( ) Kotsu is sitting at 9 Influence. Would have 11 if I hadn't given out Influence in events she was in - although I'm glad we decided to do that in the events I was in!

When Day 8 finishes and we get to see end-game stuff come up, I imagine we'll see people start threads to ask for Influence for their goals (clan and otherwise). I feel pretty sure I will do it at least.

I'm curious to see if Goal Points from Dawn 2 will return again, because I know myself and others aimed for some goals back then with the thought that the system would be used again in the future.

Now that there shouldn't be any issue with achieving our faction goal, the Imperial Families have a few points left. We have ideas of our own about what to use them on, but if some of the factions that have been best friends with us this court have plans that would require a complementary input, you can try knocking that door.
