I don't know if that was supposed to be a lesson but knowing our Dragon friends I won't discount it. When I learned it as a child, even if I lived in a prosperous tribe, cooking was fundamentally about getting the most edible bits from ingredients. Cut the good meat into thin slices, ground the bad one to fill sausages, and keep the bones for the broth.

A newfound prosperity on the contrary allows for a bit of extravagance. Within reasonable limits of course, as wasting food is still a no-no... But I don't really have to tell a monk life is ultimately about balance, not extremes, do I?"
