“I bring only a humble request on behalf of the Crane in attendance, in the coming days we shall endeavor to put on a play to honor those that acted in your name and saved your honored brother, and my honored uncle, Hisomu of the Spider. We would be elated and honored to count you and yours,” Dojihime fluttered her fan towards the Consort and the ever present vulpine escort, “if you could attend. This one knows your time is precious but she would be remiss if she did not offer her Honored Uncle a most personal invitation to the play.”

She retreated as was appropriate.

Yuzuru nodded towards the Crane heir. Even the wily old vulpine looked respectful. At least he hadn't brought his stick with him today to taunt the Crane with.

[Nozomi]

Nozomi almost breathed a sigh of relief. Two very normal requests. The thought of the sumai competition brought a little smile to her face and she nodded, making a note of the arrangements. When the Doji approached and spoke, she kept her face a bit of a mask. This one is her father's daughter alright. She speaks as smoothly. I wonder what the play will portray? Nanzi's version of events? For the first time in her entire life, she wished she had a fan to mask her emotions.

You know, if it was Nanzi's version of events, she was fine with that. She'd always been fine with his versions. It painted her right back into support, where she liked to stay. She bowed in acknowledgment to Dojihime's proclamation. Well, this would be ... interesting.

Rei entered and bowed with deep respect. She noted line of individuals seeking to speak with the Emperor. She hesitated for a moment, but took a place behind the others.

Shiba smiled at Rei, nodding for her to approach. "Ryoshun-san, welcome. I am pleased to see you. What brings you before me?"

Kinsen opens a good wide smile, being proud of her niece's carefully placed words. Something to learn form the Crane.

[Makime Ayano]

Ayano watched her own position in the queue jumped. She shifted position a little, moving just a bit closer to the dais. Perhaps the Emperor had simply failed to take not of the Lioness.

[Kakita]

Kakita was present for this session of the court… his eyes kept watch around the room as Rei stepped forward. Leaving him by himself in one of the wings of the hall.

[Kuu]

As he sat, waiting and watching, he decided to put his idle hands to work. He pulled out his writing box and began setting it up, going about some calligraphy. Highly stylized and artistic rather than practical and simple as he might usually do for recording purposes.

[Hadananzi]

Kakita was present for this session of the court… his eyes kept watch around the room as Rei stepped forward. Leaving him by himself in one of the wings of the hall.

Noticing this sudden lack of company, Hadananzi detached himself from his usual waiting space and approached the Bat, his eyes distant and unreadable as he looked the man over from head to toe. "Greetings Bat-san. Have you had rice today?"

[Doji Tsubaki]

Tsubaki, present as always, found a conversational partner that allowed her to witness, but not be blatant in her observation, of Hadananzi's approach of Kakita.

Kakita saw the man approaching out of the corner of his eye… the world seemed to slow for a moment as Kakita focused on the man’s footsteps.

He turned to face the newlywed groom and bowed politely in deference to the man.

“Good afternoon Hadananzi-sama. Thank you for your concern. I hope you have eaten as well?”

He continued, “Congratulations on your nuptials. I was able to meet with your wife after the ceremony, but I had not yet been able to express my congratulations to you as well. It was an auspicious wedding.”

Tsubaki, present as always, found a conversational partner that allowed her to witness, but not be blatant in her observation, of Hadananzi's approach of Kakita.

[Togashi Satsuki]

Satsuki arrived in one of her finer garments; flowing robes of green, red, and white, and Ko had been allowed to tame her hair today to make it up with the fineries she'd been gifted by her uncle.

She didn't particularly like it, as she preferred her hair hanging free instead, and the decorations added in a strange weight to her head that she was unused to.

Seeing the line in front of her uncle's dais, she opted to wait a bit and lingered to the side instead.

"Otomo Gusai, master of the Hopeful Endeavor. And I trust the winds that blew you here were kind; they have been to me, certainly."

Noticing no one else approached the Imperial Consort, Kinsen smoothly takes the opportunity to greet him in front of the witty fox with a proper bow. "I pray Lady Sun has blessed our dear Imperial Consort today."

Lowering herself further down, she wrinkles her nose showing appreciation to the adorable small canine companion. Perhaps it would come closer to be petted?

"Not so much as the master of a vessel must be but I enjoy what travel I manage. Though the next trip would have been a return home if only briefly."
