Testing Spirits (Day 7 Ghost Stories Event) Q&A

I'm going to post this a bit early, so people can get a better idea of what this event will be. This is a variation of Hyakumonogatari Kaidankai and will involve telling ghost stories and cautionary tales in a ceremonial manner. It's a game meant to provide some good natured scares. No actual spirits will threaten anyone, unless the GMs want to add to the event.

For the most part, all rolling is voluntary. If you wish to make rolls to enhance your story, you may. But, it isn't required.

The only required roll will be a Fear roll for each storyteller after they've shared their tale and a Fear roll for the group if a storyteller fails their roll.

To maintain the atmosphere of the event there will not be a separate observation thread. Reactions, comments and discussion should be a part of the event thread.

There will be a prize, but rewarding it will not be based on point accumulation. It will simply go to whomever Rei feels most deserving of receiving it.

The stakes will start pretty low with the Fear checks, but increase with each story. So hopefully we get a good number of storytellers. Of course, Orokos likes play with peoples Fear rolls.

Given my posting window, I'm going to toss fear roll ghosting instructions (which is a pun I really can't avoid) at someone. Today got super, extra long at work and tomorrow may as well.

Yes, but the fear effect is very brief. No penalties.
