Dancing Animals [D9 EE, Expecting]

[Chai Kotsume]

The impromptu music festival of the night before had shown Kotsume a number of things. First is that she had to go back to practicing with leaves! The feeling of trying to connect with the beat and the others gave her such a rush! But then she had clearly failed so badly at that...

She actually laughed to herself as she made her way through the garden again, followed by the three otters, and this time also by the pony, who she felt she had spent way too little time with the last few days.

She was browsing the leaves for one that might be proper to practice some more.

The second thing was that, while she definitely wanted to get better at her tribe's tradition of playing leaf, she definitely wanted to learn to play that stringed instrument the Dragon princess played last night. It sounded so soft, but yet so enticing!

She knew the Dragon princess probably had much to deal with as the visitors to the capital were making their preparations to return home... but Kotsu still left a letter asking her if she could spare some time to tell her more about that... Qu-gin? Gu-chin? Well... whatever it was called! And maybe... even teach her some things about how to play it? That would be just so awesome! And... her sister had gained the princess' own instrument too!

She was real excited as she started trying to play a melody on another broad leaf she found while browsing the trees, hoping the princess would find some time for her. This time, it actually sounded quite good!

[Togashi Satsuki]

Having found a new instrument to borrow, thanks to her uncles, Satsuki did show up for a meeting with the Ki-rin girl carrying the instrument in her arms with care. It wasn't hers so she had to show extra caution with it.

"Hello there," she greeted upon seeing Kotsume, as she had followed the sound of the music.

"Hello there," she greeted upon seeing Kotsume, as she had followed the sound of the music.

Stopping her playing when she sees Satsuki arriving, she waves to her with a happy smile. "Hi, Togashi-sama! Thanks for coming!" Then, looking at the new instrument on her arms. "Oh! Did you get a new one already?" She takes a good, detailed look at the Guqin. "I hadn't seen it in such detail when you were playing yours yesterday... it's so beautiful! And... looks so complex!", she says, holding her leaf in her hand and feeling a bit ridiculous in comparison.
