"Talking is good," she agreed. "I actually wasn't sure who was leading me here - I thought it might be a game, something connected to the Game of Letters maybe. To be honest, it was a welcome distraction after court."

"Letters?" Gusai asks. "There's a game of them?" He seems almost incredulous about it. "I'd not heard about it!"

"Yes, it's been rather entertaining," Chizu said. "People write letters, sometimes secretly, and pass them around hoping other people with read them. I've been wondering if I should bring this game back home to see if people like it there. Or perhaps there are people in other clans who I might be able to write letters to, once court is over."

"I imagine it would be hard to get a letter to you on your ship, though, Ship Captain Otomo?" she said with a small smile. "I mean, it's not like a messenger would know where to take the letter. But you must get messages somehow? How does that work for sailors?"

And in the rare instances where a course is known--and it is rare--a faster ship can be sent to intercept. But there aren't many faster than mine."

At the last, he smiles, pride in ship and crew clear.

I hope that you will find news from the Crab provinces to be half as interesting. You can send your letters to Bikami village. Most likely I'll be there, except for a trip to the Ki-Rin lands that I'll probably take next fall."

Kogi ‘accidentally’ lets one of her long red scarves catch the wind and fly out overhead like a banner… that should make the Search for Sasori trivially easy for the handful of lost samurai still searching the garden.

"Oho!" Chizu exclaimed as Gusai drew her attention to the red scarf. "Could that be another clue?"

"I think it might be," Gusai agrees. "Shall we investigate, my friend?"

"Hello!" Chizu said, bowing once she got into conversational range. "Bayushi-san! You must be the one who left all the clues, then?"

"A stiff challenge as always, Sasori-senpai." Kogi bows slightly.

She came out. "Kogi sama... you found me and guided friends to me." She winked to the other Bayushi as the others approached. "Good aftenoon mina sama."

Coming back from the hole in the frozen pond slightly frustrated, but laughing at the otters with fish still on their mouths, Kotsume sees Chizu, Gusai and Logo surrounding Sasori.

Sasori? She sniffed the air again, and suddenly the otters rushed to her side.

Ah, so we had smelled HER before getting... Distracted , she thinks, blushing slightly.

"Good afternoon, minasan! Good afternoon, Bayushi-san! So... It was you after all, eh??", she asks slightly awkwardly, but with a cheerful smile

"Well Kogi san and I used to play something alike. Lord Bayushi or I would hide and the others would follow clues to learn about the whereabouts of the hiding person." She explained. "It is a modified version of hide and seek. Lady Phi made me remember the game."

"A stiff challenge as always, Sasori-senpai." Kogi bows slightly.

Sasori smiled. "This is what you won for finding me." She showed Kogi a fan that she would know the signature, made by Sasori's brother. She moved close to Kogi's ear and whispered. "Maybe you can give it to your Lord Moon Neko chan" Sasori giggled.

Gusai nods.

"That one is...clever," he notes.

"You were so close Otomo sama... so here you go." She offered the man a Netsuke of a cat "I hope it brings you luck on your up coming travels. Nya"

Gusai, moving through the ritual refusals if it's needed, bows and accepts the netsuke, swiftly hanging it on the sheathe of his wakizashi.

"That I've a token from is more luck than I'd thought to have already," he says.
