What are the expectations for spellcasting outside of events?

You can if you're a sufficiently skilled artisan.

I just assumed I was part of creating my gift. Didn't do any rolls for it because it would have happened before game. I imagine if yor family wanted you to create something for a gift you probably would have been given time and resources to make it perfect.

Can we use out points before the game is over (ie complete the Clan goal)?

You will be using your influence at the end, you'll just be distributing it to others if you want during game. Or banking it for your Clan Goal.

Is gifting a blade considered offense/taboo this early in the Empire?

Nope.

Can I buy a carving knife somewhere?

They have them in the castle town.

It's mostly fine. People don't really distrust that. You're a holy person communing with spirits.

If Tsubaki was to gift tea would she be able to sub Craft for Lore in the gift giving rolls?

Edit: And would the Courtesy emphasis apply to Etiquette rolls for the gift giving? (I assume Manipulation would not apply to Courtier)

Oh actually - got a follow-up question for this one as well - could two different competitors use the *same* animal if necessary? Or should we limit the number of competitors to the number of animals we have available?

Bit of a fluff question I guess, but it's worth knowing I think

Just for my own understanding, EE is the wedding, but only a certain amount of people can attend (or it's late into EE and reception etc is LE) so having threads in the EE slot isn't missing the wedding?

Courtesy emphasis applies, you cannot sub rolls. This is the actual giving of the gifts, not the creation.

It's your event, you get to decide that.

I know she has an older sibling, and Hida, Shiba, and Togashi also have adult NPC children by now (not counting the Bat, Stag, and one of the Dragon heirs because they're all here and professedly single ), so I suddenly realized I shouldn't just assume.

... She's the first one I'm aware of to get married when I think about it.
