Re: Weapons and Equipment
New Weapons
Dagger-Axe
The dagger-axe consists of a dagger-shaped blade, mounted by its tang to a perpendicular wooden shaft. The earliest dagger-axe blades were made of stone. Later versions used bronze. Jade versions were also made for ceremonial use among certain tribes.
A specialized spear developed by the founder of the Wu family of the Dragon Clan. It's unusually long and tipped with a bronze spearhead.
Keywords: Large
DR: 2k3
Special Rules: The yari can be thrown a maximum range of 30', and has a DR 2k2 when thrown. It can strike up to 7 feet.
Price: 20 koku (2)
Steel Longsword
The steel sword the Nezumi use is two or more feet long, widening from the hit to a usually fairly blunt tip, with a guarded hilt. The design is similar to one of those wielded by the warrior class of the neighboring Ivory Kingdoms, though adapted for Nezumi use.
A straight sword common to the tribes of Rokugan, made of bronze. The weaker metal makes it more likely to break than the iron and steel weaponry of the Isawa and the Nezumi.
Weapon Errata
The Tengoku's Justice technique may overcome a bow's strength limit. However, if the damage is 40 Wounds or more, the bow is damaged from overextension and must be repaired before it can be used again.
