Riverspotting [D8 LM, Open]

After her intriguing experience guided by Nozomi the previous morning, Kotsume decided to try something similar today. Just... with her own spin.

She hopped cheerfully along the riverside until she found a place with a stone large enough to sit in and watch the river. Trying to set herself in a pose that would be comfortable enough to stand in for a long time, she tried it again. The quiet. The listening. This time, listening to the sounds of the river.

It was definitely an interesting experience. It was... different, but reminiscent of something. Nostalgic, even.

She let herself be immersed in the moment... and soon her mind was back home. Back to her family when they were all together. Happy? Maybe not quite? But... there was a promise of happiness and calm?

Half an hour went by in a moment... and she knew she would have to try this again later. Something seemed to prevent her from finding calm in that. She almost knew what it was, but not quite.

She felt a pang. She missed her dad sorely. And her brother. She knew exactly how hard they were, how obnoxious even. But she missed them, like she did her dear sister.

A creek ran down her cheeks. She was happy for this time with onee-san. Maybe she'd have a chance to meet the others soon. For now, she'd make the best of the company she had!
