[D7 LM] That Doesn't Seem Right

If anyone were to ask if Hisomu Susumu listened to rumors, he would laugh and say that he didn't put much stock in them. This was a perfectly true statement, and it disguised the fact that he absolutely listened to them. Even if they were utter nonsense, the fact that it was out there was an interesting trail to follow. As such, the news that accusations of theft and duels of honor between Kakita of the Bat and the groom Hadananzi over a stolen fan were something that Susumu very much found strange.

As best he could tell, the Kakita had no motive for it. Furthermore, assuming that the theft had occured two days ago, to be discovered yesterday left a rather tight timeline for such a theft to have occured. And now, with the story of the play the previous night, a pattern seemed to be emerging. Perhaps he was connecting too many dots, that didn't go together, but in the meanwhile, he could try to at least flush one lead.

Susumu begins to interview who he can, mostly servants, who had been in charge of watching the rooms. He asks guests as well, looking to lock in the timeline of when Kakita had been seen at the events the previous day, and the times at which the Crane rooms had been unoccupied. Perhaps not enough could be gathered, but if there was a tight enough timeline to rule out the theft...well, maybe that was something.
