Nestled in her command center, a pile of snow made into the rough shape of a 'redoubt', Ayano oversaw the defense of the northern sector. She had underestimated the skills of her child opponents, cunning and use to the snowy terrain.

Still the battle may have been lost...but the war, the war had just begun!

Taken out from the front lines after a massive assault, Kinsen gets dizzied, and covered in white, to the command center. She tumbles and then falls nearby Ayano. After spitting some snow from her mouth, she says, with widened eyes, "They are beasts. Beasts!"

Somewhere close, the sound of bells accented to shrill cries of Shirayuki and Phi... while a deeper, answering howl indicated that Sora was unleashing fury upon the defensive lines.

Somewhere, Mayumi's cry could be heard, supporting her uncle Sora, right before her snowball went wide at a stern glare from her mother. Apparently the Hikaru were on opposite sides of this conflict!

Sagara cleared some of the snow from Kinsen's hair, and then she brushed some of the snow off of her own kimono, from her shoulder to the bottom of the kimono. She shook her hair in case there was some snow on it as well. "It's fun though."

Kinsen wrinkles her nose to in a smile to Sagara as the Crab takes care of the Stag. She says, excitedly, "It is the most fun I've had this winter so far. These beast children are formidable adversaries."

A smirk rose around her cheeks, "and yet I would say that we have taught them a lesson or two on how it is done despite our more mature age." The Crabs tone was delighted and enthusiastic. Her face was determined. The woman looked around her watching for snowballs falling towards them, even though they were at a distance from the battle vanguard.

"As it is supposed to be. Rebellious children often embrace what adults do once they realize thei--" A snowball splashes onto her face.

"Oh NOOOOOOOOO!" A tinkle of bells as Phi surveyed the damage from a short ways off.

"'Soryu! Was that Hantei Kinsen-sama you just pasted?"

"Yes?!"

"RUN!"

"Aw, Phi!"

"Just like that one that just knocked you on the face." She started to laugh. "I guess kids can't change."

She grunts spitting snow and squints her eyes to find the culprit. "Well... they grow. For better or worse."
