People of importance in the Empire

[Togashi Satsuki]

I want to compile a document with brief info-blurb on the various daimyo/champions/champion-spouses/heirs in the Empire, to give players more knowledge about how the Empire is looking and who's who.

If done in the style similarly to Birb's NPC descriptions (short and informative), that'd be awesome. Portraits are plus ultra and will be included.

Jin

The maimed martyr and daimyo of the Jin family of the Ki-Rin has finally aged to match his features... features that themselves have not changed since he first began following Shinjo. Though his duties have led him to become more comfortable with social interaction few in the Empire often see the daimyo, at least that they are aware of, as he eschews drawing attention as he searches the Empire for those bearing the potential of Thunder. The time he does not spend in this quest is spent happily with his wife Kumiko, their twin sons, and his adopted daughter Otaku.

A small set of individuals may also be aware the Jin leads the Jade sect in their studies of supernatural threats and how to thwart them.

[Ryoshun Rei]

Ryoshun Rei

Now that her mother has joined her father, Ryoshun Rei has taken on the mantle of Ryoshun Daimyo and Bat Clan Champion. Her understanding of the Void and of spirits is as great as her mother's was. She lacks the gift to visit other realms, but still bears a strong connection to Meido.

Physically, Rei holds a subtle, quiet beauty. Her tall, slender form is not uncommon among children of the Kami, but she still stands above many of her cousins. She moves with a graceful, confidant stride. Her snow white hair and alabaster skin seem to glow softly in the evening shadows. And, her smile is almost always friendly and warm. However, she often appears to be lost in thought or distracted by things only she is aware of. At times, this suggests an aloof personality, distant and cold. Those close to her may dispute that idea, but Rei does little to correct that assumption herself.

Agasha

A young girl when she accompanied Nazo to meet the gathered Kami, Agasha has learned much and become an accomplished shugenja. She is very curious, talkative and has trouble with lying. In spite of her mastery of Fire, she has a pacifistic spirit and a healer's heart.

With her mother's blessing, she formed the Agasha family and has made a home for them on the shores of Dragon Lake. Her followers share her creative mind and ingenuity, working with the Ryoshun craftsmen to develop new ideas and techniques.

[Jiyo Sora]

Jiyo Sora



Neither daimyo nor heir, Jiyo Sora's access to the Throne is remarkable, all things being equal. While he leads no Family, he is the driving force behind the Imperial Libraries, served as bodyguard and companion to the Emperor's daughters during their childhood, and is a far cry from the near-feral man he was before meeting Shiba.

His deeds since joining the Jiyo family are numerous and well-known, most famously including being one of the four who accompanied Hantei into the heart of Jigoku to rescue Hisomu. Less famous is the fact that he is the head of the Willow Sect, and something of a permanent liaison between those who initially opposed the rule of the Kami and Emperor Shiba.

[Togashi Satsuki]

Togashi Saruko



Once known as Shirayuki of the Ayakashi tribe, Togashi Saruko is the wife of the Kami Togashi, mother of his three children, and the daimyo of the Saru family. Under her guidance, those who have joined the Saru have enjoyed a high level of education no matter their position in life as they have begun a path of creating beauty that will elevate one on a spiritual level. With so many different artistic minds gathered, she has fulfilled her vision of creating a large beautiful city that has become a center for culture in the northern territories - Great Falls City.

She followed Hisomu's bride, Reiko, into the Shadowlands to help free the Kami and she is known to have taken on most of the wedding preparations that served the magical ritual that could free Hisomu. In the Empire, she is a voice of friendship and harmony, while also voicing her opinion for each individual's path through life. The nephews and nieces of Togashi would know that she is a kind woman who dotes on family, no matter how distant they are, as handmade gifts would always make its way to them for their milestone occasions.
