[Day 6 - EE] The Play Observation Thread

[Anjing Sagara]

Seeing Sagara, Nozomi contained her emotions again and approached her. She'd seen Kuu in the distance, clearly pleased. Deep down, she was aware that there might be some 'revisionism' going on here, but if the play wasn't promoted far beyond tonight, she didn't foresee problems. As it was, this was... entertainment. That was all it was.

Drawing closer, she bowed with a bob, smirking at the woman. "Enjoy ourselves, did we Anjing-sama?"

The Crab bowed in respect as well. "The music was wonderful, and the story is such a compelling example of heroic spirit even amongst the worst odds. It is just inspiring, don't you think?"

"Until the Swamp, anyway. It was like a weight was lifted. And he found a love, again. He was like how I remembered, when I was very young. Before momma passed. I was... I barely remember her face. Only in the faintest of dreams." She laughed, looking to Satsuki's eyes.

"He would have shrugged this off. My Pa... I think retirement suits him. He lived such a hard life, that now, amongst the Caravans and the Ongaku, he's at peace. His eyes have such crows feat, and his hair has gone all white. It started turning after he held the shield. He's..." she looks up to the sky.

"He's the Mountain King. As large as the Kami, and would give it all up to save the Empire time and again. I know it."

Satsuki smiled patiently, listening to Matsu speak of her father. She could relate a lot to it, in her own way; a daughter's admiration for her seemingly invincible father. The fear of losing him. She was certainly feeling that last one herself.

"Well... the legend of Noriaki Yamadono will live on as long as we continue to remember him and tell his story. The Mountain King - the man as large as a Kami who saved a trapped god." She chuckled a little bit, folding her arms across her own lithe form as she now felt a little bit of a chill. "I don't think a single Crane play will undo that legacy. Doesn't make it right, but... he won't be forgotten. None of the heroes there will be forgotten."

Ayano's response was forgotten for the moment as her attention shifts to the shouting.

She maintains a calm demeanor on the outside but her mind was racing as it worked through the possible scenarios about to play out.

Servers circulate ensuring those who remain do not have their cups run empty or want for food or entertainment.

Unfortunately in all of the chaos of Matsu's confrontation, Nozomi was forced to give a hasty bow of apology and a whisper that she would speak to Sagara another day. Circumstances had picked up it seems.

Satsuki snickered, keeping a brisk pace back to the castle so they wouldn't get too cold. "I've been scolded before - I can relate to that one."

"But, that kind of thinking, I think that's something that will make you into one of the great samurai of our generation, Matsu-san. This is a new age, but I think it will be an age defined by my most honored uncle's Compassion and wish to see us make the world a better place for humanity."
