Sasori nodded. "I think Lady Hantei had taken a liking to us. Maybe we should offer our services to her as her midwife." She tilted her head with amusement. "I fear that Lady Doji's health is also a concern... Should we offer our services to the Crane?"

"Thank you."

"Those are good potential openings, Bayushi Sasori-san, I agree. Feel free to do so."

[Bayushi Kogi]

“Lady Doji’s eldest is rather sensitive about her mother’s health, clearly,” Kogi points out dryly. “Still… if an opportunity arises, I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to offer? I can’t even guess what could ail a Kami, though. Lord Bayushi is never ill.” Just imagining such a scenario is alarming, in fact.

Sasori’s other suggestion buys a surprised double-take. “Is Lady Hantei expecting? The Lady Hantei?” Not that there were multiple ladies of that house present. “If she’s in need,” Kogi thinks for a moment and then nods. “I have experience with midwifery too, yes. Are you on good terms with her, Sasori-san? If you think it’s a good idea…”

"I think so. I may know a few innuendo of her familiarity with this one." She smiled. "I don't know if they would find it insult to their midwives."

[Bayushi Kogi]

Kogi shrugs. "Should Lady Hantei needs anything before this weather breaks, we're the ones here now. If you've made a good impression on her, and it seems appropriate, you could broach the subject... use your own discretion?"
