Ko's cheeks flush a bit more, grow a bit deeper in color, but her head remains still enough as his hand takes a hold of her chin. Eyes looking back to him as he makes his appraisal, focusing on her. Her own hands coming into her lap intertwining with one another, calming the need to fidget with her hand. It was an intimate space to be certain, one she felt more and more as her head was tilted back and the finger ran along her jaw and down the neck, goosebumps forming with an unintentional shiver. A jump in her heart. Not seeking in the moment, just experiencing, allowing him to move around, lean close, to study and examine.

Steadying herself with a focused breath as the brush comes up she settles her head, looking forward, the brightness of her cheeks diminishing a little in the calm she tried to find. Eyes looking to him in the moment of the connection, watching his expression as he focuses on the work. Eyes briefly looking down to his lips, looking elsewhere as she feels the focus on them grow. Remaining as still as she can to not disturb or distract even though it felt hard to do so.

His hand was surprisingly steady to him despite his nerves. He made stroke after stroke, the brush lightly playing across her skin. His face staying in that intimate space with only a breath between them.

His expression has lost the uncertainty and fluster it had before and now held focus and inspiration as he paints the design on her skin. A few swirls and some lines starting on her upper neck and moving over her jaw, lines curving in a flowing pattern with off shoots curling like a vine. Everything kept tight to not be garish or take up too much room.

He made a few last strokes and leaned away examining his work. He frowned a little and held up a finger, he stood and retreated a moment outside the room and returned moments later with a bowl of water and a rag as well as a small rectangle of metal. He set the bowl and rag on the table next to the metal. He wet the rag and leaned back in his eyes connecting to hers for a breath, two and then he gently grabbed her chin again and tilted her head away as the rag touched her skin erasing errors. He used the other side to dry the area and picked up the brush again painting over the freshly cleaned spot. He released her chin and paused again his hand coming down to the floor beside her leg to support him as he leaned close. A tension in the air as he lost his focus color rising in his cheeks once more. His eyes searching the face not just the markings.

A swallow as he leaned back and handed her the polished metal so she could inspect his work before he continued.

Enjoying in the moment, the sensations present, the brush strokes across skin. His pulling back gained a glance, a nod. With him retreated from the room she gives herself a moment to inhale slowly, methodically, and exhale just in the same manner. Finding a center which she could retreat to for a time. Raising her hands, seeing them shake a little with the nerves building up from her heart resting in her throat. When he returns, her cheeks are rosey in color and there's a warmth to the smile. Watching him settle in again she looks to him as he regains his position. Rosey cheeks, a brief smile, she settles her hands into her lap again. Closing her eyes for the while, feeling him moving around more than seeing him. Last stroke recalling her attention to the moment she opens her eyes, focusing on his own searching. Hesitation in that moment- in the very air she looks back to him, and as he leans away there's a slight fall to her shoulders as a breath exhales.

Taking the polished metal into hand she looks down into it but doesn't find the focus of her attention at first. Looking blankly at the surface. It's with the rush of feeling anothers expectation on her that causes her to examine it. Finding a calm enough to truly appraise the image. Slow and methodical with it as she always was. Parting lips, but no words. She looks up from the mirror to him, down to his lips, and back to his eyes again. Holding his gaze, completely still in the moment as her mind races around the idea. One hand dropping to her side, near the ground, the metal slips from her fingers and with a quick clanging is forgotten.

Free hand reaching, leaning forward a little with it, she places her hand along his cheek. Cloth of the glove-like wrap across her palm brushing against his skin. Other hand falling to the side, much like his had before in seeking support, now to support herself. Holding him there in her palm her eyes glance from where her hand makes contact with his cheek to his eyes, down to his lips, and back to meeting his eyes ,resting there she holds the gaze, lingering.

There was a different kind of rush as she examined the work. The nerves of an artist and his creation being judged. It is a rare form of criticism that one levels against art, especially an art of this kind, so personal, so intimate. You judge not just the creation and not just the artist but in that moment you judge their heart, not just them but the core of what makes them who they are.

His heart raved as Ko picked up the mirror and continued to do so with each passing second that she did not say anything. Then she said nothing, those lips his eyes had so oft wandered to parted and the anticipation climaxed again but he was left on the edge as she said nothing. Then as she leaned in his mind raced in a whole other way. Her closeness, now initiated by her, the pretense of art blasted away so suddenly like the sun dispelling the morning mists. He was no longer the artist and her a canvas. He was just a person with another person in such an intimate space and proximity.

He saw her eyes and how they went to his lips. He had not noticed before, or perhaps had not allowed himself to notice her attentions. Not allowing himself to believe someone so beautiful would hold him in their eye in such a way. For a moment he let himself regard her, truly see her without the filters of restraint and experience her beauty. Looking at her face as she leaned in and lingered near him no longer study but appreciation for every line and curve.

He never told himself to lean forward. He never told his body to move but suddenly he was there, the gap crossed, the plane shattered as he felt the softness of her full lips against his own. Pressing in gently but full of passion and fire he leaned into the kiss. His nerves and body on fire, this simple act unleashing a torrent of repressed passion. His hand went down to hers holding it as he kissed her.

Leaning into the kiss, his hand finding hers, a source of added comfort into the moment where there was a torrent of emotions. Anxiety not least of all painting the start of the kiss. An uncertainty and trepidation in the way she pursued it but that he initiated it eased her, that he continued allowed her seeking in the kiss to grow. There was passion, a needing manner to it, but it was unpracticed, trepid, and slow to rise toward the moment. Eyes close mere into the kiss and she tries her best to focus on it, to learn the steps to something she was wholly uncertain of how to do the right way. Hand touching his face falling to his shoulder to give herself support, a surprising solidness of her grip.

Parting from the kiss her hands don't leave him, leaning back just a little to maintain that connection. Cheeks red almost from the rushing of emotion, her eyes meeting his momentarily and shying down and away. "I-" she started, barely. Cutting herself off with that hesitation, an almost apologetic tone to the singular utterance. Shaking her head briefly, no that wasn't quite right.

Hand leaving his shoulder, her knee slipping forward more onto the ground in his space to find contact with the ground for support, she touches near one of the lines she can still feel across her face. Pausing in the appreciation of it being there. Looking back to him she found his eyes, the shake of them attempting to glance away but she forces herself to maintain the contact, "I really like these," she says, sheepish in the moment.

He had no practice in this particular art it would seem as they felt eachother out both leaning in instinct and on Hiroya's part enthusiasm to carry through where experience failed. As they separated his eyes blinked open as if waking froma dream, a most pleasant dream that one wishes not to leave.

He takes in her face again as she starts to speak and stops touching her face He smiles brightly hearing her words. His hand still a top hers gives a gentle squeeze "I am glad Ko." He says, his voice quiet but not with self doubt, or shyness as it so often was. It was a quiet of closeness, knowing he needn't be any louder in this small shared space. One of comfort almost as he felt no desire to leave this intimate space with her. His voice spoke to that, his low volume making her stay close to hear him.

His other hand reached up and traced along the lines, next to them "I remembered the designs you wore, and I remembered an old symbol for growth and nature from a region that would be close to Dragon lands." He continued in the same near quiet voice "It is not likely where you are from but it was near enough you might be familiar. And as you can see I did my best to fuse them." He finished his hand cupping her cheek at this point as his cool gray eyes met with her brilliant green ones.

Smile flaring a little at the assertion, confidently spoke. Focus on the voice drawing the smile back down, a lean closer back toward the intimate space and finding a closer to comfort approach to their joined moment. Re-alighting with the touch of his hand on her face, tracing along the lines as he was. Ko's skin was warm to the touch from the almost overwhelming flush. Eyes focusing on his as they spoke. Finding a comfort in the way they followed, traced, and finally met her own . Leaning into his hand with her head as he cups her cheek, eyes closing, enjoying the connection for ten seconds maybe more.

Knee shifting, the pillow beneath it not quite thick enough to cushion it against the hard floor totally. Still, she held their without desire to retreat. Opening her eyes again she glances to his lips a couple seconds, the lingering reminder of the moment prior to the kiss. Hand coming up to her own, touching them, her thumb brushing against his hand. "Thank you," she says, her smile flaring up a bit. A softness working into her usual semi-distant tone, easing a little.

"I think the meaning is fitting. I am- happy, to wear them," she smiles again, a little more unrestrained than the last. Thinking, the quality of it seen in the way she looks to him. Hand having fallen from her lip as she first spoke, first resting on his chest but now raising once more. Finger tips resting on his bottom lip she lingers there, focusing in on everything that was compounded into that one sight.

He watches, a smile of his own on his face which grows wider as she compliments his choices. Any nerves he still had about the work disappeared with her agreement with his thoughts.

He watched as she touches her lips, those full beautiful lips. Hiroya is captivated watching her touch them makes him yearn to feel their softness again. His eyes widen a bit as she reaches across and touches his lip. Taken with inspiration his hand came up to grab hers he gently kisses her fingers, then the back of her hand, then her wrist his lips softly pressing to her skin again and again. He kissed down her arm and her shoulder briefly kissing through the fabric of her light robes, then his lips reached her neck kissing next to the fresh lines careful to avoid the drying paint he kissed up her neck to her jaw kissing along the line of it before reaching her lips again.

Returning to awareness as he takes her hand, the slight widening of her eyes. A smile rising as his lips gently kiss her fingers. Remaining that smile turns ever-present with warmth as the kisses begin to trail up her arm. Ko, somewhat beyond herself, watches his lips closely until she no longer can. A thought forming her lips part to speak but she holds off. When his attentions pass by the realm of where she can watch she closes her eyes to simply feel the kiss trace along her skin. A sharp inhale as he comes to her neck. A small murmur of a pleasant, happy sound as he finds his way to her jaw and finally their lips met again.

A greater comfort with the kiss this time, Ko was a slow and patient learner. Taking her time coming up to speed with what felt nice, that neediness working it's way in as well in the eagerness with which she accepted the kiss. Leaning forward for some time now she could feel her arm start to wear a little, tire from the casual strain placed on it from supporting her, but she wasn't interested in breaking away. Instead, easing off the arm, she naturally drifts back a little with plenty of effort from her end to make herself easy enough to follow for the kiss to be maintained.

And maintained it was with the slowness she pulled back and the enthusiasm she showed Hiroya followed her back leaning on his hand as the other found home on her waist gripping gently. He eased into the kiss, reading her motions, sounds, and her feel. Both exploring uncharted territory. The kiss persisted for some time, exactly how long was impossible to tell it could have been seconds or it could have been several minutes just experiencing her.

Contact was broken eventually, pulling back slightly and a small kiss given in the separation his forehead leaning against hers softly "that is.....incredible." He breaths into the space between them.

Hiroya pulling back from the kiss Ko caught a breath, lips left parted as if frozen in time by his departure. Eyes opening to the space between them she looks up to him smiling warmly, abashedly. As they leaned back enough her hand could come up off the floor for a moment only to find new purchase on his thigh. Taking the moment for the breath and her thoughts to catch back up with her she nods slowly. Eyes lingering on his lips as he spoke rather than trying to raise them to match his gaze with him so near. Hand on his thigh, the other free from the attentions he gave to her before coming back to find and cup his cheek. Leaning back off of his head so she could take in the sight of him more wholly.

A lingering appraisal in the way she looks to him. Eyes meeting his, seeking his. Holding his attention there for ten seconds, maybe more. Hand brushing gently along his cheek until only her finger tips touched. Each one falling off slowly as she lets the hand fall. "I am happy," she says, a rush with the smile she bounces a little from the hip as she sat with him. A slight furrow to her brow, "It feels nice," she says, a slight renewal to the smile. Free hand having fallen to his thigh in the meantime, both left their respective thighs as she was able to lean back and fully sit.

Hands coming up she cups both of his cheeks at the same time, tilting her head a little she looks at him. Wonder in her eyes. Meeting his eyes before a flush comes to her cheeks and she glances away briefly. A brief smile though, the way she hid her face as she glanced away shifting and gaining a little more confidence. Hands laying down onto his shoulders she leans in. Finding his lips with her own, a few seconds of a warm affectionate kiss. Another smile as she parts away, hands still resting on his shoulders, "Would you like to.." she hesitates, one hand coming back and curling up against her chest for comfort. A subtle breath to calm herself, she glances toward the set aside brush and then back to him, "continue?" she looks to him, a hope shining through.

His eyes follow her as she moves and as she speaks a smile upon his lips. As he hands find his thighs a small shudder and a look crossing his eyes imagination running. A small shake of the head and a soft smile returning. As she touches his face he leans into it smiling to her.

When she looks at the brush and mentions continuing he takes a breath and nods calming himself "Yes of course. I must finish the other side." He said slightly sheepishly. His mind had wandered far from painting and he was embarrassed to admit he had even forgotten about the original reason they were there.

He reached down and retrieved the brush gently cleaning any leftover paint drying to it. He removed the excess water from the brush and dipped it again into the paint. Turning back toward Ko he paused and smiled his look to her softer and warmer now as he leaned in coming close to her face so he may finish what they started.

Before he might, she brings a hand up to his cheek. Leaning in for another soft, affectionate kiss that lingered a moment. Breaking away with a warmth to her cheeks and smile she nodded. Though her brow furrows at a thought causing her to shy away a little. Something she returns quickly from as she reaches some internal decision. Sitting back, settling in, she smiles briefly again as she holds onto whatever that decision might have been. There was a renewed confidence in herself, the moment, one that allowed her to relax a little more than she managed prior. Sitting still with greater ease. Not even needing halt any fidgeting with her hand from the rising tension in the moment.

And Hiroya would embrace the kiss returning it earnestly but keeping his enthusiasm at bay well enough to not go chasing her lips when they parted. Instead smiling to her gently and brushing some of his hair back that had gotten loose.

He watches the shifting expressions and body language from Ko play out with only a slight furrowed of his own brow. As she seemed to settle he leaned back in and began the work of replicating what he had made on the other side of her face on this one so they would mirror each other. He was diligent in his work and focus his heartbeat returning to normal for the first time since their lips first touched. Part of the way through his voice is soft as he is working mere inches from her "Do you want to talk about it?" He asks lifting the brush so she can reply without disturbing his work.

Ko's eyes widen a touch, her brow furrows, and then they settle back to normal as she looks to him. Parted lips as a question in turn tries to surface but doesn't, realization having washed over. Voice lessened for the more intimate space between them, the touch of a smile on her lips, "I have nothing to speak of," she smiles now, shaking her head. A brief, almost-chuckle of a sound, "Not- not in that way, at least."

Meeting eyes in the moment to convey sincerity on that fact. Then glancing down a moment thoughtfully. "But I have decided I like you," she smiles, shyly but warmly. Passive blush showing in her cheeks intensifying a little with the vocal admittance. "Very much." Hair a little a mess she takes the time to bring a hand up and brush some of it back away from her face, though it wasn't the side he was working on. A small happy sigh, contentment but more as well.

Now it was his turn for his eyes to widen a little, his blush intensifying to a full red in his cheeks. He smiled though as he recovered from the admission. It probably seems silly to be surprised, she had kissed him after all. Hearing it out loud however, made it more real.

He leaned in a kissed her gently, warmly, softly pulling back the warmth that had been in the kiss moved to his eyes "Well that good. Cause I like you a lot too Ko." He said as he looked into those emerald pools she called eyes.

"Good," she says, a brief smile as she looks back to him. Holding into that gaze. Five seconds, maybe more, and she breaks the moment with, "But I do have something to mind. Something I would like to do," she says, that brief smile rising again. Bringing a hand to her cheek, near enough to an unfinished line to call attention to it. "But you will have to finish this first," she smiles again, warm and holding.

He shook his head and chuckled "of course, sorry. You can make it hard to concentrate." He said softly before resuming his work his smile slowly leveling into the flst line of focus as he dutifully copied the curves and swirls he had made on the other side. The brush lightly gliding against her skin again and again. Occasionally he reaches for the damp rag and fixes a slight error but soon enough he leans back his eyes studying his work his hand gently cupping her chin and turning her head to the left and right comparing the two.

Finally he begins cleaning the brush and packing the implements back where they go. When everything is back in its original place he sits back on his heels giving her a smile "There." He said with a tone of finality.

At the words first there was a tension which grew in her expression, but the sound of the chuckle still held in ear helped her settle with his smile managing the rest. Ko's eyes close for much of the work, the faint smile she wears from company and the soft attentions of his hand, and the brush. Passive blush to her cheeks resting in on a faint rosy color. Evened breathing as she concentrates on not losing herself too much to it, maintaining herself enough that she wouldn't interrupt his work too much.

As he begins to pack things she sets her hand on his, holding it there and locking eyes, "Not yet," she says, a faint smile. "Unless- you don't," she furrows her brow, realizing she hasn't explained that plan yet. Relaxing her hand off his she brings it up to his cheek, resting finger tips against the soft of his face there.

"Wait here... I have, a thought," she says, her voice going shyer but some confidence welling up as she meets his eye.

He pauses a look of slight confusion, or perhaps curiosity crossing his features but he touch is a reassuring one and he leans into the touch with a smile setting the implements down without finishing putting them away. He sat and watched her waiting as she had instructed With a soft smile and warm light in his eyes looking to her.
