The Quiet Game.

I am thinking of either Late Afternoon Day 6, or Late Morning Day 7.

The purpose of this 'test' is to demonstrate the values and merits of meditation in general, not only in the replenishing of void but also in helping to keep decorum in all things. It's a field of study that Nozomi herself does not yet excel at, but it has also been a field she has been studying for many years out of necessity with her own roiling thoughts.

Regarding awards for it, I am thinking that when she gets a response to it, Nozomi would flippantly recommend some form of calligraphy or the like. She may attempt to solicit the assistance of others in giving a gift to one who demonstrates well the merits, or may offer personal jiujutsu (or staves if one is willing) lessons to anyone who participates.

Rolls would probably be Meditation, Athletics (to reflect endurance).

Any initial thoughts?

One thing - check out the Google docs with the schedule if you can! If you'd like to keep D7 LM, I could shift the horse race (assuming it happens) to EM. Although meditating early sounds good too

Ok - "The Quiet Game" is tentatively approved by Canary for Early Morning 7. I've included it in the Google Doc and will have more information officially closer to date for other players.

I will probably post this information on Day 5 or 6, whichever is needed. There will be no sign up required.

Game of Letters is okay'd, so we can start it whenever: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=375

This shouldn't take up time slots, I think? We'll just handwave re: what time of day letters are written. And I'll make a dividing-line post within the thread whenever it rolls over to the next day, just so people know on what day the letter they're responding to was created.

Scavenger hunt sounds brilliant!

And there's still time free for 2 events on D8 without having two in the same timeslot.

The only real 'competition' we have so far is between ghost stories (D7 EN) and the great snowball fight (D8 EM) since those who go for ghost stories will probably be sleeping when the snowball fight breaks out

There is a lack of musical/performance-oriented event, so Hikaru and I will be throwing up an impromptu music-one.

Using the GoogleDoc I've grabbed Day 6 LE for now, but can probably do Day 8 LE?

On Day 8, the GoogleDocs says there's an Art Exhibit hosted by Ryoshun Ume.

Is this still a go since the player has dropped? Is someone else hosting? Or is the slot open?

That's a very good question! I hadn't noticed Ume had dropped.
