Nozomi had made sure to send a message Matsu's way at some point in the day. The hero of the Spider had been deeply busy during the early parts of the court, and Nozomi wasn't about to interfere with that work. Old friendships deserved to be stoked and nurtured, but only when duty permitted. It was something she had to remind her daughter of regularly. The message just asked that if she found time for a little practice in the dojo, Nozomi would be available.
Admittedly, the days when Nozomi had been able to school Hisomu Matsu were long past. The woman had blossomed into a full fledged warrior par excellence, but still it never hurt to spar and practice with an old friend. For now, while her daughter was still safely listening to Shiba and Shinsei speak of greater things, the monk entered the dojo, bowed and began her stretches. "This... at least, I understand." She laughed at herself. She might spend the rest of her life understanding the Tao, and never glimpse half of it. But martial work? That was familiar.
