What does the room look like, please?

The room is actually a relatively spacious set of rooms, with a living area that opens to the hall and a bedroom farther in. It's tastefully decorated, and has a variety of artist's supplies about, mostly ink and paper.

He knows he only has limited ability to call upon the Spirits, so it is better to do what he can with his own skills first. He looks to find the sleeping chamber, and examine it, including turning up the futon to look underneath it.

Other than the obvious, Kyosei has no clue what he is looking at.

Everything seems totally normal!

He shakes his head, then kneels down on the floor, pressing his hands down, and calling upon the Earth Kami. This was the only spell he had ever managed to use without blood, and he had always been able to do so, since he first found his power. He exerted a little to be able to ask it for further clarifications.

As the local earth shuddered, he asked his first question. ~Is this area cleansed or tainted?~

He can feel the toughness and purity of the earth inherent in the wood around him. The area is clean.

You get an image of cracked rocks under snow. They think it's too cold.

There is a long stretch of history that the wood and stones remember. This one is unusual.

He felt the connection fade, and stood and stretched. So. He wondered who would be the one to tell this to. Very disturbing news.
