[Hantei Genji]

Genji sat in the hot springs, the light of his grandfather high above. He waited for his cousins, a tray of sake and shochu set up next to the springs.

[Togashi Satsuki]

An energetic exclamation could be heard from the women's side of the baths. "Last one in is uncle Sora's stinky old socks!"

What followed was the naked form of the Dragon princess hurriedly making her way towards the hot spring, unconcerned for who might see her in such a state. And then a hop! She was in the pool! There was a light splash that ensued from the theatrics.

"Hey Genji. Guess you and I are both safe now!"

[Hantei Genji]

Henji let out a laugh. "Aye Satsu-chan."

He gestured towards the drinks. "Care for something?"

[Togashi Satsuki]

A wet hand smoothed out her hair a little, which had been braided up into a halo-like style to prevent it from getting into the waters of the pool. "Mm," nodding, Satsuki scooted closer to see what was available.

"Wait did you only bring booze, Genji-kun? Wow..."

[Hantei Genji]

Genji shrugged. "Figured we'd escape from our reaponsibilities for one night, and just be...us."

[Ryoshun Rei]

"Well, I would not want to be socks." Rei said as she entered. "Oh! That's hotter than I was expecting."

[Togashi Satsuki]

"Pfft. I'm always me." Satsuki blew away an errant lock of hair that had escaped the braiding. "I'll have the sake then, thank you."

That Rei joined in made her smile widely. "Rei-Rei, our cousin Genji is trying to get us drunk!"

[Ryoshun Rei]

"I hope he succeeds." she smiled as she sat down next to them.

[Togashi Satsuki]

"Oooh?" Satsuki looked questioningly at her cousin, green eyes with curiousity glinting in them.

"Didn't think you were the type who liked to get drunk, Rei-Rei." She added in a dramatic gasp. "Has Genji-kun corrupted you so already?"

[Doji Dojihime]

Fashionably late.

Dojihime arrived with a song on her lips without her usual retinue, she wore a long flowing blue and white coat of fine linen with her hair pulled up into a tight bun of dreads adorned with a jade crane pin to hold in place. One strand hung down in front of her face as she removed the coat to reveal a short semi-mesh gown that came to just below her wide hips of sky blue, it was sheer underneath with a fundoshi somewhat visible underneath that left little to the imagination from the back. The roapy mesh covered the front in varying colors, which matched her scintillating earrings as she walked towards the hot spring before she slowly lowered herself into the water with a soothing sigh.

“Genji-kun, thank you for this idea… Rei-Rei, Kosaru*-chan, you both look radiant this evening. Now what was this about corruption via spirits?” she murmured lightly.

[Ryoshun Rei]

"It's Agasha's fault." she shook her head. "I don't care for being drunk, really. But, I enjoy the sense of relaxation sake gives you."

"Hello, Hime-chan." Rei smiled.

[Doji Dojihime]

"Hello, Hime-chan." Rei smiled.

"Dearest cousins, I hope we can always find time to meet as friends for all our days," she said warmly.

[Togashi Satsuki]

"You and me both, Rei-Rei," she agreed with her fellow-white-haired cousin, then smiled to Dojihime.

Hime-chan was much nicer when she wasn't in court.

"Just Genji-kun bringing sake to make us drunk, instead of bringing tea - the superior beverage," she said with a laughing tone, flicking her fingers to splash some water on the guilty boy. "We're more than just friends, neh? We're family. Even if separated by distance, we're family."

"And that was a nice song, Hime-chan. Is it from your mother?"

[Doji Dojihime]

"Inspired," she said calmly though she was unsure of how to follow the statement about her mother.

"Inspired by her, but something of my own that I worked with Ananzi-chan on."

[Togashi Satsuki]

"It was very lovely," she said once more, nodding. There didn't really seem to be an ounce of deception or cruelty behind the words. "You're such a talented singer."

As sake was poured, Satsuki helped Genji with passing out the cups. "It's much nicer when we can meet like this, yes? Just family, and not the expectations of court and everyone else looking on?"

[Doji Dojihime]

She accepted a cup and said, "Yes, the demands of court and family can... complicate matters between us, but I hope we all know that there is love and fidelity in our hearts."

"Even if we must act contrary."

[Ryoshun Rei]

"We will always be family." Rei agreed and lifted her cup.

[Togashi Satsuki]

"Well we don't have to act contrary."

Seeing Rei lift her cup, Satsuki did the same as the older of the cousins. "Ah, uh... we're making a toast?"

[Hantei Genji]

Genji smiled ruefully as the cups were handed out. Hr seemed...different under Grandfather's light.

"Certaijly, cousins. Family is important. Especially this one."

[Doji Dojihime]

Dojihime followed suit with the toast.
